摘要: Mathematics has long been an important tool for understanding and controlling the spread of infectious diseases. Here, we begin with overview compartmental models, traditional approach to modeling disease dynamics, then introduce contact network epidemiology, a relatively new that applies bond percolation on random graphs model through het- erogeneous populations. As illustrate, these methods can be used address public health challenges have recently coupled powerful computational meth- ods optimize epidemic control strategies.
