摘要: PURPOSE The purpose of the review is to present guidelines help clinician interpret healthcare economic analyses and pertinent recent analysis in ophthalmic literature. RECENT FINDINGS There are four variants analyses: (1) cost-minimization analysis; (2) cost-benefit (3) cost-effectiveness (4) cost-utility analysis. Cost-utility utility has assumed an increasingly important role healthcare, with increasing number occurring peer-reviewed These include cataract surgery first second eyes, amblyopia treatment, encompassing vitreoretinal interventions following: laser photocoagulation for exudative macular degeneration; treatment diabetic retinopathy; branch retinal vein obstruction; vitrectomy; (5) proliferative retinopathy prematurity (6) detachment associated vitreoretinopathy. As become available they will provide information system practice value-based medicine, or medicine based upon patient-perceived value conferred by interventions. SUMMARY Increasing numbers literature suggest that interventions, including cost effective. a major tool
