Rethinking the classification of mixed affective episodes in ICD-11

摘要: Abstract Mixed affective episode is a prevalent mood disorder characterized by the coexistence or rapid alternation of manic and depressive symptoms, which associated with significant suffering high risk suicide. Unfortunately, current diagnostic classification mixed episodes in ICD-10 lacks detailed definition relevant subtypes. This inconsistency has negative implications for both research into disorders bipolar spectrum clinical practice. For this reason there need special attention on diagnosis revisions manuals. In manuscript we suggest set clear criteria exhaustive subtypes aimed at upcoming ICD-11. The defined syndrome its are close congruence suggested DSM-5 “mixed specifier”, an advantage common understanding across ICD/DSM border.
