摘要: Cross-linking reagents for protein modification are provided, which comprise four functional, leaving groups capable of reacting with amino acid residues on the chains, one pair at each end a relatively rigid chemical spacer group comprising aromatic joined by amide linkages. Such cross-linking react hemoglobin to effect intramolecular two dimeric units stabilize tetramers, use respective pairs functional groups, and produce dimers such tetrameric units, i.e. bis-tetrameric, intramolecularly cross-linked stabilized hemoglobin, exclusion higher molecular weight species.
