摘要: Bird species distributions in 151 woods (0.02-30 ha) a lowland arable landscape eastern England were investigated using logistic regression analysis. Of 31 included the study, only Marsh Tit Parus palustris, Nightingale Luscinia megarhynchos and Chiffchaff Phylloscopus collybita failed to breed of <0.5 ha. For many woodland species, probability breeding was positively related area other variables decribing themselves. including Blackbird Turdus merula Sparrowhawk Accipiter nisus, perimeter, rather than area, significant. Variables describing surrounding important for both those more typical open country. The length hedgerow presence particular Long-tailed Aegithalos caudatus, Robin Erithacus rubecula, Bullfinch Pyrrhula pyrrhula, Garden Warbler Sylvia borin Blackcap atricapilla, Tit, Great-spotted Woodpecker Dendrocopos major Chaffinch Fringilla coelebs. Treecreeper Certhia familiaris negatively distance nearest wood, whereas that Tree Sparrow Passer montanus amount landscape. Thus influenced by factors associated with wider landscape, on scale larger their immediate habitats.
