摘要: The unabated rise in health care costs is bringing services research into center stage as an applied science to help guide managers purchasers and regulators. To be equal the task must pursue at least four intellectual agendas: study of efficacy (knowing what works) appropriateness (using execution (doing well purposes (the values that underlie action). responsibility for financing conduct agendas varies with level aggregation data effort needed each topic. All topics pursued effectively if quality successfully defined measured protected. (authors)
