摘要: Upon ultrastructural examination it was found that prolonged mebendazole therapy of patients with hydatid disease often resulted in complete necrosis the germinal layer ofEchinococcus granulosus cysts. The affected cysts showed only remnants degenerated tissue including heterogeneous vesicular membranes, electron-dense amorphous structures, myeloid bodies, lipid globules, crystal-like precipitates and derived from muscular tissue. Examination treated mice revealed same time-related deteriorative effect anthelmintic as described previously for other cestode species. advanced stage degeneration observed murine after treatment resembled morphologic features present necrotic human gave additional information about phenomenon.
