摘要: • An essential fatty acid (EFA) deficiency developed in a 19-year-old man who was being maintained on long-term regimen of fat-free, intravenous hyperalimentation fluids. The EFA reversed after 21 days by daily, topical application linoleic to the patient's skin. ratio eicosatrienoic (20:3, n-9) eicosatetraenoic (20:4, n-6) decreased normal levels skin and serum with clinical improvement syndrome. cutaneous manifestations (scalp dermatitis, alopecia, depigmentation hair) were continued, safflower oil, which contains 60% 70% acid.
