摘要: Prostate cancer (PCa) represents a major cause of mortality among men in developed countries. Patients with recurrent disease initially respond to androgen-deprivation therapy, but the tumor eventually progresses into castration-resistant PCa; this condition, cells acquire ability escape cell death and develop resistance current therapies. Thus, new therapeutic approaches for PCa management are urgently needed. In setting, natural products have been extensively studied their anti-PCa activities, such as growth suppression, induction, inhibition metastasis angiogenesis. Additionally, numerous studies shown that phytochemicals can specifically target androgen receptor (AR) signaling, well stem (PCSCs). Interestingly, many clinical trials conducted test efficacy nutraceuticals human subjects, they partially confirmed promising results obtained vitro preclinical models. This article summarizes anti-cancer mechanisms potentials different compounds context prevention treatment.
