摘要: Objective There is growing evidence supporting the association between migration and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Considering population of migrants particularities providing culturally sensitive mental health care for these persons, clinicians should be kept up to date with latest information regarding this topic. The objective study was critically review literature migration, trauma PTSD, services. Methods PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, ISI Web Science databases were searched articles published in Portuguese, English, Spanish, or French, indexed from inception 2017. following keywords used: health, services, stress, disorder, trauma. Results Migration associated specific stressors, mainly related migratory experience necessary process acculturation occurring adaptation host country. These major stressors have potential consequences many areas, including health. prevalence PTSD among very high (47%), especially refugees, who it at nearly twice rate migrant workers. Conclusions Mental professionals must trained recognize provide appropriate and/or stress-related disorders migrants.
