摘要: The cocaine- and amphetamine-regulated transcript (CART) peptidergic system is involved in processing diverse neuronal functions adult animals, including energy metabolism. Although CART widely distributed the brain of a range vertebrates, ontogeny this has not been explored. CART-immunoreactive zebrafish central nervous (CNS) was studied across developmental stages until adulthood. peptide expressed as early 24 hours post fertilization establishes itself several discrete areas spinal cord development progresses. trends suggest that it may be establishment commissural tracts, typically expressing but subsequently decaying. elements are commonly overrepresented sensory like olfactory, photic, acoustico-mechanosensory systems, perhaps indicating role for perception. Key neuroendocrine centers, preoptic area, hypothalamus, pituitary, conspicuously show innervations, suggesting analogous to those demonstrated other chordates. Uniquely, epiphysis also appears employ neurotransmitter. entopeduncular nucleus major CART-containing group teleost forebrain participate glucose sensing. This region responds 15-day larvae, status sensing circuits active development. pattern expression suggests conserved evolutionary among vertebrate species.
