摘要: Plants regularly encounter stress, and their responses to abiotic biotic stressors have been a focus of research for decades. Stress caused by drought is one the most often studied stresses owing increase in incidence driven climate change. Severe has shown elicit whole-plant response guided key phytohormones, which not only respond water stress but also play critical role plants imposed herbivores pathogens. This especially relevant insect-transmitted pathogen systems, where plants, herbivores, pathogens are linked web direct indirect interactions. Few studies thus far explored complex nature drought-mediated tripartite interactions, however, our ability generalize predict how herbivore-transmitted while simultaneously countering consequences remains limited. The goal this mini-review assess current state field regarding molecular mechanisms underlying plant combined effects simultaneous herbivory transmission ecological consequences. We discuss drought, herbivory, as distinct concurrent stresses, highlight implications interactions on insect vector suppression agroecosystems. review provides framework future linking generalized drought-stressed species ecology context modern agriculture deficit
