摘要: The aim of this study was to investigate the acute repeated bouts aerobic exercise decrease leg arterial stiffness. However, influence on stiffness after glucose ingestion is unknown. present investigates effects 75-g oral tolerance test (OGTT). Ten healthy young men (age, 23.2 ± 0.9 years) performed trial (RE, 65% peak oxygen uptake; two 15 min cycling 20 apart) and control (CON, seated resting in a quiet room) at 80 before OGTT separate days randomized, controlled crossover fashion. Carotid-femoral (aortic) femoral-ankle (leg) pulse wave velocity, carotid augmentation index, brachial ankle blood pressure, heart rate insulin levels were measured (baseline) 30, 60 120 OGTT. Leg systolic pressure increased from baseline CON trial, but not RE trial. findings indicate that suppress increases following ingestion. Abbreviations: trial; BG glucose; VO2peak PWV Pulse velocity; AIx index; BP pressure; HR rate; CVs coefficients variation; RPE Ratings perceived exertion; SE standard error.
