摘要: Abstract A Ni(111) crystal with small angle boundaries was used to examine the adsorption of CO. The CO on a perfect single for reference. Auger spectra show that boundary lines sample surface provide favorable sites adsorbed dissociate at temperatures as low 25°C. post-dissociation carbon appears mostly in form nickel carbide surface. After heating 850°C, sulfur diffused and blocked uniformly. boundary-enhanced dissociation absorbed is no longer observed after diffusion AES depth profiling concentration different positions respect evidence an enhanced path diffusion.
