摘要: The main objective of this study is the elaboration national characteristics in international scientific co-authorship relations. An attempt made to find statistical evidence symmetry and asymmetry co-publication links, relation between both research profiles citation impact. Four basic types can be distinguished relative specialisation domestic internationally co-authored publications 50 most active countries 1995/96 concerning significance difference two profiles. Co-publication maps reveal structural changes links last decade. Besides stable coherent clusters, new nodes have also been found. Not all individual are symmetric. Specific (unidirectional) affinity could detected several countries. As expected, co-authorship, on an average, results with higher rates than purely papers. However, influence collaboration impact varies considerably (and within one country fields). In some cases there is, however, no advantage for or even partners.
