摘要: Abstract Detailed heat transfer distribution in a rectangular channel under an array of impinging air jets was experimentally investigated using transient liquid crystal technique. The jet-to-jet spacing 4 and the jet-to-surface 3. fully or partially filled with porous wire meshes (filling ratios = 100%, 50% 25%) jet Reynolds numbers ranged from 2500 to 7700. Although literature data indicated that material enhanced overall rate, regional on target surface degraded because blockage breakup core flow. coefficient further reduced increase filling ratio. For channel, mesh located near contributed even lower transfer. All cases demonstrated decreased surface, average Nusselt number for case only unfilled case. impingement hindered, variation could prevent development local hot cold spots engineering applications.
