摘要: Membrane uptake of long-chain fatty acids (FAs) is the first step in cellular FA utilization and a point metabolic regulation. CD36 facilitates major fraction by key tissues. This review highlights contribution to pathophysiology rodents humans. Novel concepts regarding regulation CD36-facilitated are discussed (i.e. role membrane rafts caveolae, recycling between intracellular depots membrane, chemical modifications protein that impact its turnover recruitment). Importantly, levels abnormal diabetes, resulting dysfunctional utilization. In addition, variants gene were shown recently influence susceptibility for syndrome, which greatly increases risk diabetes heart disease.
