摘要: As a method for overcoming the challenge of rigorous deoxygenation in copper-mediated controlled radical polymerization processes [e.g., atom-transfer (ATRP)], reported here is simple Cu0 -RDRP (RDRP=reversible deactivation polymerization) system absence external additives (e.g., reducing agents, enzymes etc.). By simply adjusting headspace reaction vessel, wide range monomers, namely acrylates, methacrylates, acrylamides, and styrene, can be polymerized manner to yield polymers with low dispersities, near-quantitative conversions, high end-group fidelity. Significantly, this approach scalable (ca. 125 g), tolerant elevated temperatures, compatible both organic aqueous media, does not rely on stimuli which may limit monomer pool. The robustness versatility methodology further demonstrated by applicability other techniques, including conventional ATRP light-mediated approaches.
