摘要: AbstractSaint-Venant Equations (SVE) are often simplified for the sake of practicality, faster computational times, or physical representation. The Gravity Wave Model (GWM), Local Inertial Equations, is a simplification SVE whereby convective terms neglected. aim this work to present an analytical solution dam-break problem based on GWM set equations without source using method characteristics (MOC) and compare it with SVE. formulas depth velocity derived explained along wave propagation characteristics. Conclusions drawn about solution.
