摘要: Synthetic patches and fixed grafts currently used in the repair of congenital heart defects are nonliving, noncontractile, not electrically responsive, leading to increased risk complication, reoperation, sudden cardiac death. Studies suggest that tissue-engineered made from living, functional cells could grow with patient, facilitate healing, help recover function. In this paper, we review research into possible sources cardiomyocytes other cells, including embryonic stem induced pluripotent mesenchymal adipose-derived umbilical cord blood amniotic fluid-derived progenitor cells. Each cell source has advantages, but also technical hurdles overcome, heterogeneity, maturity, immunogenicity, pathogenicity. Additionally, biomaterials as patch materials will need attract support desired induce minimal immune responses.
