Treatment of uterine fibroids with implants of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist: assessment by hysterography

摘要: The effect of a potent, subcutaneously injected gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH analog) (Buserelin, Hoechst, Frankfurt/Main West Germany) on the size uterine leiomyomas and cavity area was studied in group 20 women. In all patients except 1, calculated by hysterosalpingography decreased, with an average decrease 35% (from 12.0 +/- 5.4 cm2 to 7.8 3.3 cm2) 8 weeks therapy. Significant observed women initial greater than 10 cm2. very large submucous fibroids, myomectomy hysteroscopy neodymium:YAG laser easily performed. Rapid relief symptoms such as menometrorrhagia permits restoration normal hemoglobin concentration. conclusion, use GnRH analog represents adjunct for preoperative reduction tumor may permit surgical treatment hysteroscopy.
