摘要: To test the effects of access to information on efficiency in small scale agriculture, we formulate a standard stochastic frontier (SF) model which is augmented with technical that allows for an index captures farmers’ ability information. The constructed as 2-parameter Rasch model. Panel data agricultural production Uganda used construction and estimation SF We find empirical evidence significant positive relationship between farmer farm efficiency. Mean farmers greater 90%, about 33% higher than lower Our findings underscore need ICT equipment agriculture related services developing countries.
