摘要: The general wear performance and boundary lubrication properties of a silicone-oil-based electro-rheological (ER) fluid are presented. tribological characteristics derived from the results an extensive series tests on two-disc machine. By comparison with commercial lubricating oil working under same conditions it is concluded that ER tested likely to cause severe problems in some engineering situations. This so even though active particulate matter mixture appears act as solid lubricant which enhances base liquid phase.
