摘要: Various biological sensory systems exhibit a response to relative change of the stimulus, often referred as fold-change detection. In past few years, detecting mechanisms, based on transcriptional networks, have been proposed. Here we present mechanism, protein-protein interactions, consisting two interacting proteins. This mechanism does not consume chemical energy and is subject translational noise, in contrast previously proposed mechanisms. We show by analytical numerical calculations that robust can fast, precise, efficient for parameters are relevant eukaryotic cells. © 2014 American Physical Society.
