摘要: The advent of microarray technology has enabled scientists to simultaneously investigate the expression thousands genes. Gene-expression profiling studies have provided a molecular classification breast cancer into clinically relevant subtypes, new tools predict disease recurrence and response different treatments, insights various oncogenic pathways process metastatic progression. Here we describe state art gene-expression in cancer, consider both their current limitations future promises. We also discuss potential signatures an impact on individual patient management, ultimately accelerate transition between empirical tailored medicine.
