摘要: Abstract Since their first reported formation in the late 1960s [ 1 ], giant vesicles have proven to be invaluable research tools for many applications including but not limited studies on fundamentals of lipid membrane assembly/properties, drug discovery, and cell biology. Microfluidic technology, other hand, is a more recent tool (the miniaturized systems emerged early 90s) which brings advantages from scaling down by miniaturization. However, it has only been last 10 years that we seen researchers combining these two fields gain further insights biomembranes broaden applications. Surprisingly was until few years, began fully realize potential this marriage with led an explosion works where are used microfluidic systems. This can broadly summarized into either created or analyzed within platforms. chapter aims provide overview give author's own opinion future directions.
