An investigation on occupational stress of the operating room staffs in hospitals affiliated to Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and its association with some factors

摘要: Background: Stress is a nonspecific reaction to everything the body needs. Although occupational stress exists in every occupation, it seen with more frequency and intensity amongst those occupations related human health. In this study, we aimed investigate level of operating room staffs working hospitals affiliated Isfahan University Medical Sciences its association some factors. Materials Methods: This descriptive co‑relational study conducted summer 2010. The population studied comprised 100 OP Sciences. data were collected by questionnaire including two sections personal information Toft-Anderson Standard inventory. first section contained 13 questions second included 34 on stressful factors, measured through Likert’s scale which scores 0-33 indicated mild stress, 34-66 moderate 67-100 acute stress. analyzed SPSS. statistical tests Pearson correlation, variance analysis, independent t‑test employed analyze (P < 0.05 was considered significant). Results: Based findings, mean score staffs’ (out 100) 32.3 (12.9) range 1-65. highest frequencies for (57.4%) (42.6). addition, not same different domains. There significant inverse between monthly hours (r = -0.21, P 0.049). Mean 28.1 (12.3) among average income 33.8 (12.8) low‑income subjects, showing difference 0.048).
