摘要: Radar altimeter measurements from the GEOS-3 satellite to ocean surface indicated presence of expected geostrophic height differences across Gulf Stream. Dynamic sea heights were found by both editing and filtering raw then referencing these processed data a 5 minute x geoid. Any trend between geoid was removed subtracting out linear fit residuals in open ocean. The mean current velocity 107 + or - 29 cm/sec calculated dynamic for all orbits corresponded with velocities obtained hydrographic methods. Also, topographic maps produced August, September, October 1975. Results pointed limitations accuracy geoid, anomaly deteriorations due filtering, lack dense time space distribution measurements.
