摘要: In order to evaluate the impacts of environmental pollutants on biota, it is essential consider assessment strategies which include bioassay sensors for both sediments and water ecosystems. The different approaches currently applied in such impact programs appear vary. presently practised conserve aquatic sediment quality need be re-evaluated establish a uniform meaningful criteria applicable sediments/water fulfil requirements setting standards. We at present more information improve our knowledge this direction. Even small physico-chemical ecosystem alteration could effect next level compartment (biota) through adsorption, desorption eventual diffusion many metabolic by-products. These effects are normally monitored via responses organisms as MFO (MFO = mixed function oxygenases activity — detoxification), genotoxicity immunosuppression responses. Such provide us with area toxicity sublethal toxicity. Sublethal includes bioassays DNA unwinding, umu-assay phagocytosis improves genotoxic potential. measurements, when sediment/water components an ecosystem, potential adverse biota.
