摘要: The community structure of benthic diatoms and water environmental characteristics were extensively investigated to assess the aquatic ecosystem health Wutong River (Heilongjiang Province, China). Several diatom indices calculated, a index based on biotic integrity (BD-IBI) was developed. Principal component analysis (PCA), Spearman correlation (CA), cluster analysis, redundancy (RDA), box plot used analyze communities, river health, compare applicability different indexes. results indicated that Gomphonema parvulum other tolerant species dominant species. Meanwhile, most sites in “poor” or “very poor” condition according indexes evaluation, indicating has been disturbed by human activities. sampling divided into three groups pollution levels. derived BD-IBI included four individual metrics aspects, showed strong distinguishability for grouping robust with variables.
