摘要: During April and May of 1959, 26 seismic refraction stations were completed in the Gulf California. In shallow Northern province crust earth consists four layers--1.5 km unconsolidated sediments with a velocity 2.1 km/sec, 2.0 semiconsolidated 4.1 4.3 basement material 5.4 main crustal layer 6.7 km/sec. The total thickness is not well determined but appears to be about 25 km. central southern sections only two layers can resolved--a 1.3 material, 6.2 5.8 subcrustal has an average 7.8 km/sec lies at de th 9.3 South proper resolved into three layers--0.4 sediments, 5.5 third upper mantle depth 8.9 km, 7.7 It concluded that northern portion California structure similar continental borderland off Southern California, section East Pacific Rise.
