摘要: We investigate the growth of a pattern liquid crests emerging in layer magnetic when subjected to field oriented normally fluid surface. After steplike increase field, temporal evolution amplitude is measured by means Hall-sensor array. The extracted rate compared with predictions from linear stability analysis taking into account proper nonlinear magnetization curve $M(H)$. remaining discrepancy can be resolved numerical calculations via finite-element method. By starting finite surface perturbation, it reproduce and rate. investigations are performed for two liquids, one low high viscosity.
