摘要: We observe the dynamics of waves propagating on surface a ferrofluid under influence spatially and temporally modulated field. In particular, we excite plane by applying traveling lamellar modulation magnetization. By means this external driving, both wavelength propagation velocity can be controlled. The amplitude excited exhibits resonance phenomenon similar to that forced harmonic oscillator. Its analysis reveals dispersion relation free waves, from which critical magnetic field for onset Rosensweig instability extrapolated.
