摘要: ✓ The authors report the successful total excision of an intracranial teratoma in a neonate. pathology this rare tumor and its prognosis relation to maturity individual cell lines is discussed. A review previous operation experience neonatal age group shows that radical surgical has seldom been attempted. There are no reported survivors with normal neurological development. clinical presentation, preoperative evaluation, operative management Emphasis laid on intensive supportive care perioperative period. difficulty predicting benign or malignant course these tumors justifies extreme caution making demands careful follow-up supervision. Reoperation indicated for recurrent tumors; germ-cell may respond combined irradiation chemotherapy.
