摘要: The development of the morphology a reactive blend along twin-screw extruder has been experimentally studied. A transesterification reaction activated by catalyst allowed cross-linking dispersed phase during flow in extruder. In comparison with nonreactive system (without catalysts), resulting morphologies were characterized larger dimensions. Influence screw speed and feed rate similar for both systems, whereas changes screws more pronounced blend. It appeared that local was strongly dependent on extent reaction. At low extent, equilibrium between breakup coalescence shifted toward coalescence, at high classical mechanisms largely modified replaced “coagulation” mechanism. shown that, fully cross-linked phase, final remained remarkably stable successive extrusion steps. For such products, observation low-frequency plateau elastic modulus suggested formation copolymer interface matrix. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
