摘要: This paper critically reviews literature on the behaviour of US-based Multi National Companies (MNCs) in Germany relation to historic institutions German labour market works councils and industry wide collective bargaining. The system is becoming increasingly company father than sectorally centred, US based companies have reinforced a wing employer opinion seeking further these developments. Surveys show generally accepting sectoral bargains but case study evidence also shows them weaken links with parts external company. A typology pro- posed it argued that many appear follow ‘formal compliance/content avoidance dichotomy’ tending exacerbate system's existing tendencies towards disarticulation.
