摘要: Pathological characteristics of colorectal cancers and adenomas developing in 140 members 34 Hereditary Non-Polyposis Colorectal Cancer (HNPCC) families are described. In addition the pathological features six 47 obtained from 216 at risk subjects colonoscopic surveillance programmes given. Survival rates for Dukes A, B C were 90%, 76% 50% respectively, but only 32% C. This would support view that HNPCC malignancies relatively non-aggressive, despite there being an excess poorly differentiated mucinous tumours. There is circumstantial evidence evolution malignancy occurs through adenoma - carcinoma sequence.
