摘要: An indigenous bacterial strain capable of utilizing p-nitrophenol (PNP) as the sole carbon, nitrogen and energy source was isolated from a river sediment in Buenos Aires (Argentina). The 16S rDNA sequence showed close relationship to Rhodococcus wratislaviensis. This degrades 0.36 0.72 mM PNP 34 56 h, respectively, releases nitro group compound nitrite. Aerobic biodegradation assays were performed using 2-L microfermentor at 28∘C with agitation (200 rpm). Biodegradation evaluated by spectrophotometry, gas chromatography microbial growth. As nitrite released during degradation is also an environmental toxic agent it removed adding denitrification step anoxic process. Detoxification Daphnia magna toxicity test. Toxicity not detected after combination both, aerobic test
