摘要: BACKGROUND Recent research demonstrated that vitamin D, apart from calcium-related actions, has antiproliferative, prodifferentia-tive and immunomodulatory activities. OBJECTIVE To determine whether actinic keratoses may benefit the antiproliferative prodifferentiative effects of topical D. MATERIALS AND METHODS The study was an investigator-blinded, half-side comparison trial. Patients applied calcipotriol cream to one side Ultrabase as placebo other scalp and/or face for 12 weeks. total number (AKs), diameters scores target lesions were determined at each visit. RESULTS Nine patients included, eight whom completed treatment. There a statistically significant difference between AKs baseline week on whereas no detected (p = 0.028 vs p 1.00). mean score reduced significantly side; however, reduction found 0.017 0.056). Although more common side, not significant. CONCLUSION Topical show promise in treatment keratoses. More studies are needed confirm its efficacy.
