摘要: The lack of an effective indoor air quality (IAQ) metric causes communication concerns among building tenants (the public), managers (decision-makers), and IAQ investigators (engineers). Indoor Air Pollution Index (IAPI) is developed for office buildings to bridge this discord. index, simple easily understood, employs the range pollutant concentrations in subject estimate a unitless single number, IAPI, between 0 (lowest pollution level best IAQ) ten (highest worst IAQ). index provides relative measure ranks distribution US population. Furthermore, associates well with occupant symptoms, percentage occupants persistent symptoms. A tree-structured method utilized conjunction arithmetic mean as aggregation function. hierarchical structure renders not only one value, but also several sub-index values that are critical study environment. use IAPI management illustrated example. decomposition leads ranking sampled pollutants by their contribution identification dominant pollutant(s). This information can be applied design strategy reducing in-office pollution.
