摘要: The effect of bed thickness in rectangular fluidized beds is investigated through the CFD–DEM simulations small-scale systems. Numerical results are compared for bubbling various thicknesses with respect to particle packing, expansion, bubble behavior, solids velocities, and kinetic energy. Good two-dimensional (2D) flow behavior observed having a up 20 diameters. However, strong three-dimensional (3D) 40 diameters, indicating transition from 2D 3D within range 20–40 Comparison velocity profiles near walls at center shows significant impact front back on hydrodynamics pseudo-2D beds. Hence, quantitative comparison experiments columns, has be accounted numerical simulations.
