摘要: Bhendi/Okra, a common vegetable in the Indian subcontinent, is highly susceptible to viral disease Bhendi yellow vein mosaic (BYVMD), resulting considerable yield loss crop. As first step towards formulating novel strategies against BYVMD, identities of viruses and associated satellite molecules were investigated BYVMD-affected okra leaf samples taken from ten widely separated locations India. The amplified nucleotide sequence representing coat protein indicated presence begomoviruses virus (BYVMV) seven Mesta (MeYVMV) three samples. Subsequent analysis full-length sequences revealed recombinant DNA, having MeYVMV Malvastrum Yunnan (MYVYNV), not previously reported India, as parents. Betasatellite very similar previous reports. Analysis symptomatic by Rolling circle amplification showed, addition BYVMV-like sequences, begomoviral earlier cotton mint alphasatellites Cyamopsis tetragonoloba also present. This study that diversity satellites with BYVMD much higher than thought.
