摘要: Visual recovery after successful surgery for the macula-off rhegmatogenous retinal detachment continues to be an important topic ophthalmologists. Recent studies have shown that despite intuitive notion regarding outcomes in detachment, there is no improvement final visual acuity more expedient repair within first week. Macula-off detachments can therefore treated with less urgency and wait next scheduled available operating room time. Surgeons involved should aware function based on testing may continue improve long term, most notably those following patient characteristics: younger age, or mild myopia (less than -5.00 D), shorter duration of macular (30 days less).
