Mustetid species guiids are large but competition between mustelid appears limited except the genera Martes Mustela. Several different nonequilibrium community models indicate that 2 or more Mustela may coexist temporarily due to reproductive adaptations, differential predation of prey, prey population fluctuations, on by other predators.
