摘要: Low detectability of small nocturnal carnivores and biases associated to different census methods hamper the interpretation reliability results censuses habitat studies many cryptic elusive species, especially because false-negatives and/or lack negatives. In order overcome this problem, methodologies based on use presence-only data have been used predict distribution species. paper, we presence two abundant test for segregation in their habitat. We compared niche overlap between common genet stone marten at spatial scales, home range scale landscape scale, through logistic regression analyses using from Biscay, an area which both species are widespread. found great but spite it statistically significant differences predictor values some variables. Habitat genets was differentiated by areas with dense vegetation that were importance genets, open characteristic suggest competition causes observed segregation.
