摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter presents a review of the existing knowledge base process spray deposition, focusing on issues in which transport phenomena are relevant. It is apparent that addition to materials-science community, heat-transfer and fluid-dynamics communities can have significant impact improving understanding fundamental mechanisms occurring this important process. The discusses exemplify, even single liquid-metal-droplet not well understood, although progress has been made end for axisymmetric splats. involves complex within severely deforming domain presence conjugate convection-conduction heat transfer solidification.
