摘要: The applicability and effectiveness of the representative volume element (RVE) approach for predictions creep properties in metal matrix composite materials were analyzed numerically this paper. A special attention was paid to sensitivity numerical solutions with respect size, terms short-term strength secondary rate model. models based on microstructure material which consisted creeping randomly distributed non-creeping hard spherical particles. modified random sequential adsorption algorithm applied reproduce elements microstructures. Then, subjected deformations uniaxial stress boundary condition. Statistical analysis experiments different sizes showed that effective can be determined large volumes elements. In both cases rate, statistical fluctuations decreased increasing element. Several test are also presented order validate model against experimental results from literature, advantage limitation RVE discussed. [doi:10.2320/matertrans.M2014137]
