摘要: Abstract Objectives To estimate and assess the psychometric properties of a multiattribute utility function (MAUF) for Spanish version Tolerability Quality Life (TooL questionnaire). Methods Balanced data on 243 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder were gathered. In addition to demographic clinical variables usual generic health-related quality life (HRQoL) questionnaires (EuroQol-5D [EQ-5D] Short Form-6D [SF-6D]), instruments considered included versions Positive Negative Symptoms Schizophrenia Scale (PANSS), Young Mania Rating (YMRS), Montgomery-Asberg Depression (MADRS), Udvalg Kliniske Undersogelser (UKU), Clinical Global Impression Severity (CGIS) scale. MAUF parameters estimation involved number visual analogue scale (VAS) time trade-off (TTO) ratings that proved difficult be performed by patients. After checking inconsistencies in patient responses, original sample was reduced still balanced subsample 70 individuals. A multiplicative-form estimated following standard methodology. Results Good convergent validity demonstrated because estimates from presented strong correlations utilities HRQoL included: SF-6D (0.66, P = 0.10), YMRS (−0.30, 0.08), MADRS (−0.48, Conclusions Utilities showed good properties, serving as complement health utilities. If misapplied, however, this instrument might favor positive evaluation drugs showing fewer associated side effects.
