摘要: Abstract Background Incidence rates for breast cancer are higher among Mexican-American (MA) women in the United States than living Mexico. Studies have shown prevalence of risk factors more acculturated less Hispanic/Latinas States. We compared behavioral and family history by level acculturation country residence Mexican descent. Methods Data were collected from 1,201 newly diagnosed patients Mexico ( n  = 581) MAs  = 620). MA participants categorized into three groups (Spanish dominant, bilingual, English dominant); used as referent group. The assessed according to level, adjusting age at diagnosis education. Results In adjusted models, bilingual English-dominant significantly likely a body mass index 30 kg/m 2 or greater, consume one alcoholic beverage week, report having All U.S. lower total energy expenditure (≤533 kcal/d) ever smoke cigarettes Conclusions Our findings add limited scientific literature on relationships acculturation, health behavior, women.
