摘要: Breast cancer is the number one cause of deaths among Hispanic women in United States, and Mexico, it recently became primary deaths. This malignnancy represents a poorly understood understudied disease women. The ELLA Binational Cancer Study was established 2006 as multi-center study to assess patterns breast tumor markers, clinical characteristics, their risk factors Mexican descent. We describe design implementation provide factor comparison between U.S. those Mexico based on sample 765 patients (364 401 Mexico). Compared had significantly (p < 0.05) lower parity (3.2 vs. 3.9 mean live births) breastfeeding rates (57.5% 80.5%), higher use oral contraceptives (60.7% 50.1%) hormone replacement therapy (23.3% 7.6%), family history (15.7% 9.0%). Results show that differences exist lessons learned from conduct our study. studies are an important step understanding etiology for both countries.
